This exhibit explores one of the most fascinating areas of criminal investigation—forensic entomology, or the use of insects such as flies, maggots, and beetles to reveal critical details of a crime scene. The exhibit begins by revealing the origins of forensic entomology in 13th century China then presents fascinating case studies, engaging interactives, and examples of field and lab equipment.
Visitors to the exhibit will use their newfound skills to help solve crimes and will leave with a much greater appreciation for both the science behind criminal investigations and the important role insects play to solve mysteries.
