To accommodate families with children ages 0 – 8 as the Museum of the Rockies builds its newest exhibit, Explore Yellowstone!, MOR will host several small immersive exploration areas for young learners throughout our permanent exhibits.  Rotating on a monthly basis, children will engage in selected topics through dramatic play, storybooks, manipulatives, puzzles, and arts and crafts.

As part of our commitment to enhance learning opportunities for our youngest visitors, the Museum is developing an amazing new children's space centered around Yellowstone National Park. Explore Yellowstone will invite young children to lead with their imagination, explore without limitation, and learn through hands-on, immersive discovery.

In addition to these exhibit-based exploration areas, the Museum has also rearranged its lower lobby to serve as a temporary play area for children.  Similar to the Martin Discovery Center, this small play area includes storybooks, puzzles, and other toys for children ages 0 – 8.
