With world-class exhibits, events and programs, camps and classes, and stellar shows in the Taylor Planetarium, you will want to visit the museum again and again. Whether you join as an individual, dual, family, or business, your MOR membership will pay for itself in only two or three visits. Each annual membership is valid for 12 months, starting the month it is purchased. Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Share all that you love about MOR with your friends and family! With a gift membership, you can experience our exhibits, programs, and classes together. MOR members can also be used at over 360 museums worldwide through the ASTC Travel Passport Program. So, share the joy and give a gift that lasts all year long.

How it works:

You can choose to have the membership cards sent to you or directly to the gift recipient.

Realty Partnership Program

Thank your clients while supporting your community's premier cultural institution!

Here's how it works:

Join Museum of the Rockies as a Business Member and receive all of our General Membership benefits plus the Realty Partnership Program's benefits.
You send the museum your clients' information after closing.
We send your clients a complimentary six-month membership, courtesy of you!

Submitting your client's information:
After closing, please send your client's name(s) and a valid mailing address to members@montana.edu.
We will send your client a gift certificate for a six-month Family Membership to Museum of the Rockies, courtesy of you.

Program details:

You may request a gift certificate for each of your clients at closing.
Limit one gift certificate per client per year.
Please submit client information as soon after the closing as possible. Submitting numerous applications at once may delay processing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Download the eMembership Card app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. The app has a red silhouette icon with the word ‘Member’ and a barcode.

Open the eMembership Card app and search for Museum of the Rockies.
Once you have selected Museum of the Rockies, click the “Find my Membership Cards” button.
Enter your phone number or membership # and your last name. Click “Find”. a. If you search using your phone number, be sure to enter the phone number you provided when you purchased your membership. If you did not provide a phone number, you will need to have your member # to find your card.
When your membership information is found, click the “Show My Membership Card”.
Select the “Download my Card” button to store your membership card in the app. a. You can display your membership card at any time by clicking the “Show my Membership Cards” button.
1. You can also choose to add your membership card to the digital wallet on your device by selecting, “Add to Wallet”.

For admission to Museum of the Rockies, you will be asked to show a photo ID along with your digital membership card.

To view the benefits associated with your membership level, including ASTC Travel Passport reciprocal admission benefits, click the “Membership Benefits” button.

Your membership is active until the last day of the month one year from the date you join. If you renew your membership before it expires, your membership will be extended twelve (12) months from the current expiration date.

Yes! Gift memberships are available. You can designate if you want their membership cards mailed to you or to the recipient.

Yes! A family membership can be purchased for the two adults in your household plus your grandchildren when they are visiting the museum with you.

You can add an additional adult to your membership. This card can be used by an additional adult when they are visiting the museum with your children.

Membership cards are typically mailed within 10-14 business days. Your membership is activated from the time of purchase. Please share your confirmation receipt, Membership ID, or photo ID with visitor services upon check-in if your card has not yet arrived.

Yes! You can use your membership for free or reduced admission at up to 360 participating museums through the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) Passport Program! Your MOR membership may not be used at ASTC Passport Program participating museums located within 90 miles of Museum of the Rockies. Learn more about the ASTC Passport Program here.

Your membership is non-transferable and non-refundable. You can, however, continue to use your ASTC reciprocal benefits for the remainder of your membership year!

Guest passes are available at the Collectors Circle, Curators Circle, and Director’s Guild levels.

As part of the ASTC Travel Passport Program, Museum of the Rockies brings an added benefit to its Members! Your MOR Membership gives you free general admission when you travel outside of your local area to more than 378 other ASTC museums and science centers around the country.

Before You Travel:

Make sure the science center or museum you are visiting is not excluded. Visit astc.org for a complete list of the more than the 378 participating museums and science centers.
Review that science center or museum’s family admittance policy. Download the list of participating venues at astc.org and call before you visit to confirm your Passport Program benefits.
Pack your ID (or other proof of residence). Admissions staff reserve the right to request proof of residence for benefits to apply. Science centers and museums requesting proof of residence are marked by (IDs).
Pack your membership card. Participating venues are not required to grant benefits to visitors who forget their cards. There is no universal database with all Passport Program visitors’ member data and expiration dates for admission staff to reference. Some venues will allow you to call the science center or museum you joined to confirm your membership, but they are under no obligation to do so. Lost your card? Please contact MOR for a replacement. ASTC does not issue or administer membership cards.

Exclusions:

Science centers & museums located within 90 miles* of the science center or museum where you are a member.
Science centers & museums located within 90 miles* of your residence.
