If your “bucket list” includes fishing for the world’s biggest trout, this trip is for you!
Travel to the wild places of Mongolia under the expert guidance of Sweetwater Travel, a Montana-based outfitter.
For many adventurers, the chance to see Mongolian riders driving their livestock on a crisp fall morning is enough, but for anglers, Mongolia is home to the world’s largest trout, the Taimen. The largest Taimen taken by the company’s client was a 60-inch fish!
You and your companion will travel under the guidance of Livingston, Montana-based Sweetwater Travel Company, which pioneered fly-fishing for Taimen in Mongolia. The three Vermillion brothers have taken clients to Mongolia for every single year since 1995.
Your six full days of fishing are guided by highly experienced professionals who are well respected in the fly fishing world and know the land, the Mongolian people and the aggressive Taimen. Guides will do everything possible to make your fishing vacation in Mongolia a memorable one.
You will stay in traditional style Mongolian felt tents wrapped around a collapsible wooden frame, accommodations that are much larger than standard wall tents. You will fish two to a boat. This once-in-a-lifetime trip includes lodging based on double occupancy, beer, wine, in-country transfers, and hotel lodging the night before departure to camp and the night after returning from camp at Hovsgol Hotel.
This trip must be redeemed prior to the end of 2020 and is dependent upon availability.
