Peter Mousseau

Peter Mousseau
Living History Manager

Peter is a well-rounded historian and interpreter of Living History. He was born in Grand Haven, Michigan. Peter grew up mostly in West Michigan, but thanks to his parents’ love of travel, he spent a great deal of time seeing the country at an early age. He also blames their insistance on taking him to every museum in the US for his eventual career choice. Peter went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in history from Grand Valley State University.

After graduation, he worked as a historic interpreter at a variety of sites, such as Fort Mackinac and the Hackley and Hume historic houses. He also served as a deckhand and storyteller aboard the Tall Ship Windy of Chicago. After a decade of working in various historical locations, Peter was ready to settle and was thrilled to join the team at MOR in October 2022.

In his free time, Peter can usually be found reading, gaming, and working on crafting his own garb for Renaissance festivals.
