The Strangest Marine Reptile

Thalattosaurs were a bizarre group of marine reptiles that swam the world’s oceans a quarter of a billion years ago. Join MOR Paleontology Collections Manager-Registrar Eric Metz as he takes you for a swim alongside some of the strangest sea creatures that have ever lived.

MOR's Presenting Prehistory: A Paleontology Lecture Series explores recent paleontological findings and current hypotheses as conveyed by scientists who are actively exploring how life on Earth has changed. Discoveries made by paleontologists continue to shed new light on the deep past of the planet and the creatures that arose here.

Free and open to the public in the Hager Auditorium.
Refreshments will be provided post-lecture during the speaker meet-and-greet.
