One of the planet’s most spectacular and scientifically significant fossil localities, Egg Mountain, located in Northern Montana, has been the source of incredible paleontological discoveries. This site and the surrounding area, known as the Willow Creek Anticline, produced the first reported dinosaur eggs, embryos, babies, and nesting grounds in the western hemisphere as well as the bones of Montana’s State Fossil, the duck-billed Maiasaura.
Join MOR’s John R. Horner Curator of Paleontology Dr. John Scannella and Paleontology Collections Manager-Registrar Eric Metz in a special, behind-the-scenes visit to the museum’s Paleontology Collections to take a close look at some of the incredible fossils found at “Egg Mountain” and learn how this area changed our understanding of dinosaurs and their world.
If you are a Director’s Guild, Curator’s Circle, or Collector’s Circle Member, please look for your email invitation to arrive in March.
