Each session has a capacity of 10 children between birth and ten years old and their adults. Children must be supervised by their caregiver. Participants will go through symptom screening before entering the Center. Each child will receive their own set of interactive toys upon check-in. The entire center and all interactives will be sanitized in between visitation sessions.
Along with the rest of Museum of the Rockies, all guests are required to bring and wear a face mask or face covering that covers their nose and mouth at all times. Children under the age of five (5) and those who cannot physically remove a face covering without assistance, or those who have requested and received a necessary accommodation are not required to wear a face covering. However, all children between the ages of two and four are strongly encouraged to wear a face covering.
We kindly ask our members to limit their visitations to once per week. If your family cannot make your visit, please contact our education team as soon as possible so we can open registration to other families. There will not be a waitlist for this program. Please continue to visit our registration webpage for registration availability.
This exhibit is sure to please learners of all ages. Based on the science of Yellowstone National Park and geared towards infants through children up to the age of eight, the center is an excellent introduction to little ones about the wonders of Yellowstone.
Young visitors are encouraged to explore and follow signs to touch, smell, look, or listen to Yellowstone features and creatures. Visitors can pump up a geyser, climb a fire tower, fish from the fishing bridge, set up a camp, or enjoy a miniature version of the Old Faithful Inn. An amazing array of Yellowstone wildlife constructed from recycled materials greets visitors at every turn. The center even has a Toddlers Camp play area for very young visitors. All children must be accompanied by an adult. The entire center is designed with children in mind including the restrooms which are scaled down for children.
If you’re traveling to Yellowstone National Park, this is a great way to introduce it to the whole family.
Please Note: There are no geyser eruptions in the Martin Children's Discovery Center between the hours of 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. daily. This is in consideration of visiting families with small children who may be sensitive to the noise. Supervision is required for all children.
