Field Trip Date/Time

Field trips can be scheduled between Monday, February 22 – Friday, June 11, 2021. 

Field trips are not available on Saturdays, Sundays, or state holidays. Summer field trips are not available for reservations at this time.

Group Size

School groups are limited in size to 25 or fewer students and chaperones in total.

One adult will be admitted to the museum free of charge for every eight students in grades K-12. Any additional adults will be charged the regular admission rate.

Field Trip Activities

Field trip activities currently available:

  • Each school is welcome to see one planetarium show during their visit.
  • For self-tours, schools must divide into small groups of eight or fewer total individuals. These small groups are required to stay separated to ensure public visitation with social distancing.

These activities remain suspended:

  • Guided tours remain suspended through the end of the school year.
  • Children’s Discovery Center and interactives remain closed.

Taylor Planetarium

Due to COVID-19, we have limited capacity for seating. We can accommodate 15-30 individuals at a time depending on social distancing requirements for each class.

Field trips must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance.
