Designed to engage members and visitors of all ages, these exhibits offer a captivating blend of science, art, culture, and history.

As you approach the museum, be greeted by the beloved Rusty, a symbolic sculpture of a draft horse created by acclaimed artist Jim Dolan. Rusty has been an iconic resident at MOR since the early 1980s when local schoolchildren collected recyclable cans to fund the gift of this magnificent artwork to the museum.
Prepare to be awed by Big Mike, a life-size bronze sculpture of a Tyrannosaurus rex. Cast from the fossil bones of the Wankel T. rex, also known as MOR 555, this impressive sculpture is a testament to the fascinating world of dinosaurs.
The City of Bozeman has partnered with Montana State University and Museum of the Rockies to create and showcase a seasonal Water Wise Demonstration Garden in the entryway with efficient irrigation techniques and low-water use plants suited to Bozeman’s semi-arid climate.
