Peyton Smith was born in Missoula, Montana, and moved to Bozeman in 2020 to attend Montana State University. She graduated in the spring of 2024 with a bachelor's degree in history and a minor in Museum Studies.
As the Manager of Historic Interpretation and Programs, Peyton oversees historic interpretation and history-based programming, with a focus on engaging visitors through immersive educational experiences. Much of her time is spent at the Living History Farm, where she leads interpretation at the Tinsley House and develops new ways to connect the public with Montana’s past.
Peyton is passionate about creating accessible, inclusive, and inspiring opportunities for learning. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, spending time with loved ones, and traveling.
