American Indian Council Powwow: “Annual Celebration of Art, Community, and Culture

Coming Soon Temporary Exhibit

March 20 - September 7, 2026

This exhibit of posters commemorates over 50 years of promoting the annual powwow organized and hosted by Montana State University’s American Indian Council. Powwows are public social dances that celebrate culture, dance, drummers, and occasionally include educational and athletic events. The beauty of regional artwork enhances information that powwow participants look for, including invited drums, dance categories, dance specials, prize money, and other associated events.
